Howdy!  Are you panicking yet because Christmas is only 7 days away and there are only like 2 wrapped gifts under the tree?  Don’t sweat it.  We don’t have a tree or any wrapped presents.  Heck, we’ve been living with family for almost 4 months.  You’ve GOT to be ahead of me.  But you know what?  I’m not really sweating either.  I’m just trying to remind myself that this time of year isn’t about presents anyways.  It’s about the birth of Jesus.  And love… giving to others in need… showing the love of Jesus Christ as he loves us.  So, don’t fret or sweat!

Today I wanted to drop in with a really quick and easy update.  It won’t take long, I promise!  One of my very first blog posts was about this here eyesore:

Yes, it’s the breaker box cover.  Every home has one… or two.  At our previous home it was in a nice hidden spot.  This one, not so much.  It was in clear view for the whole world to see as soon as you entered the back door.  And man did it stick out like a sore thumb.

Now our laundry room looks more like this:

See what I did there?  Yep, I painted that bad boy.  Of course this room looks totally different now because there is painted sheetrock BUT you barely even see that breaker box now.  While I was painting the living room walls (which you’ve yet to see), I just grabbed a brush and went to town on the breaker box cover.  It only took two coats and took me all of 10 minutes.  It was basically no extra effort or money because I already had the paint!  I love easy fixes.  I just wish all of the projects in the house were that easy.

And if you’ve been following this blog since I started it, back in March, you’ll remember this artwork that’s going to hang over the breaker box with hinges on the back so that we can still access it in case of an emergency.

I still LOVE this picture.  It’s been printed as a poster and patiently awaiting to be hung.  That will probably be the first thing I put in this room.  It’s just going to be perfect!  P.S.  In case you missed that post way back in March, just click here.

Well, I’ll let you guys go.  Do you have an eyesore of a breaker box?  Paint that thang honey child!  You won’t even notice it’s there!
