So… does anybody remember what our master bathroom used to look like? Oh, you’ve already forgotten?! Let me refresh your memory really quick!
There was a lot of flowerdy wallpaper and carpet and yellow laminate. I like yellow and flowers and all, but not the 70s… so we decided to start fresh! One good thing is that there was enough room for a 48″ vanity, which will be so nice!
The closets, which were used as the master bedroom closets since there were none in that room, were very slim and made me want to lose my religion. #sorrymom
And the pony wall. I almost forgot about it… how could I forget about it? Anyways, you were hidden while you took care of business, which was nice, I guess? On the other hand, it REALLY chopped up the room, so it was a goner as well!
Then I steamed off all of the wall paper, the pony wall was taken down, the carpet was ripped up, and the closets were demolished. I felt bigger instantly.
Then our contractors came (I swear those will be my famous last words) and the magic happened. We now have a blank slate.
Nice, huh? It’s just a full shot of the room. And here’s where the vanity will be.
This next shot is just to show you that there used to be big holes in the ceiling from where the closet and closet lights were… but now anymore 🙂
And one last view… looking into our master bedroom, which is currently housing the vanity for this room. That’s the nice thing about renovating a house. There is STUFF everywhere.
Speaking of a blank slate, here are the plans for this room, which include slate tile floors. I’m such a sucker for a good play on words! So corny!!!
Can you see it all coming together? I can and it is so exciting. Like pee your pants exciting, which is pretty fitting for a bathroom if you ask me. Leave me a comment below to let me know what you think of our new space!
