May Flowers

Those April showers definitely brought May flowers at our house.  I realize it’s June now… but that just didn’t sound right.  Since I normally show lots of pictures on here that aren’t the prettiest (because we are in the smack middle of demolition in most rooms), I figured I would give you guys something pretty to look at for a change.

Remember when I introduced your to our pump house?  I told you that I had planted some elephant ears, cannas, and salvia flowers (salsa mix).  Anyways, I promised that I would give you an update on how they were doing when they were a little more established.  They’ve been growing very well… and without any help from me.  We haven’t had to water ANYTHING lately because of all the rain we’ve received.

On the other hand, that means that some grass has also been popping up in this little bed, so I’m thinking I will need to mulch this little area and go ahead and put up a little border of some sort.  Rock?  Brick?  Money Grass?  Here’s are a couple of options I’m looking at…

This is pretty and seems like it would be a very simple project.

Or we could go with monkey grass.  I LOVE monkey grass and think this would be very pretty as well.

When I decide, I’ll let you know!  Let’s get to the good stuff shall we?  The pretty pictures of the pretty flowers…

Did you see my little friend?  The green grass hopper?  Wasn’t he so cute?  I’m glad I was able to capture that.  Hope you enjoyed the pretty pics!
