Which One Would You Choose?

I asked J.C. if we could get a rug for the patio.

J: “A rug?  For the patio?!”

Me:  “Oh yeah!  It will be a nice touch.  And I just read on one of my favorite blogs  that you can pressure wash it.  Cool, huh?!”

J: “Yeah, I mean I don’ think that’s necessary RIGHT now, but we can get one.”

You don’t have to tell me twice.  I’m on it!  What he didn’t realize is that I already had a few picked out and possibly a favorite one.  I just need to sell him on the one I like.  Sneaky sneaky.  (P.S.  To read more about pressure washing outdoor rugs, click here.)

Remember when I shared our Patio Plans?  We haven’t made a lot of headway out there because we’ve been so busy with other things.  And unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any.  I’m sure I will get a chance to pay a little more attention to that area pretty soon.  At least that’s what I’m hoping for!

Do you recall this fabric that we are using on the tulip chairs?

I played around in Photoshop and let the chairs try it on!

What do you think?  In my humble opinion, I think it’s going to look FABRIC… I mean FAB!  Now, I realize this is a “rough sketch,” but I think you get the picture.

This got me to thinking a little bit- OH LORD!  You know what happens when I start thinking.  Anyways, I thought it would be nice to add a rug to this area.  I started scouring the Internet for options.  Fun, fun, and more fun!  J.C. hears money, money, money, money, and more money!

I tried to keep in mind that this is going to be an outdoor rug and we don’t want to spend a lot of money on something that’s just going to get rained on, dirty, pollen infested, and all the other wonderful things an outdoor rug has to endure!

Wanna see the ones I’m eyeballing?  You KNOW you do!  First up, is the Yellow Lattice Indoor-Outdoor Rug with Tassels from World Market.

It’s so pretty with the bright yellow and white design.  I love the tassles but worry they will catch a lot of dirt, pollen, leaves, etc.  Want to know the coolest thing about this rug?  It is made from recycled plastic bottles.  How cool is that?  The price ranges from $149.99 to $299.99.  We would purchase the 8′ by 10′ which would set up back about $300.  That’s a little more than I was wanting to spend.

Next up is the Sand Area Rug in Grey from Home Decorators.

I like it… but at the same time I think it’s a little busy.  What do you think?  The price is a little less at $233.00.  Like- yes.  Love- not sure!  It did receive a 5 star rating review on their website from customers who had previously purchased this rug.  That’s always a good sign.

The next contender is from OverstockIt’s the Biscayne Blue/ Beige Indoor Outdoor Rug.

I realize that it is busy, kind of like the one above; however, the tones seem a little more muted.  This one is my favorite so far.  That’s if I quit looking and don’t find another one I like.  Would you like to know how much it is?  $167.99 suckers!  And I would get free shipping.  Now I just need to show J.C. a bunch of ugly rugs and this one and he won’t have much of a choice.  Plus, I could point out the fact that it looks like honeycomb.  He’s LOVES honey.  He’d put it on anything.

So, I thought it would be cool to let you vote on which one you think I should go with.  Just be honest.  It won’t hurt my feelings…. unless you don’t pick my favorite 🙂
